Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) is a new, innovative approach to dealing with aggressive, harmful and self-destructive behaviour of children and adolescents. NVR promotes constructive resistance to harmful behaviour, while seeking to support adults in reconnecting with their child and developing a non-punitive yet strong parental position.
Non-Violent Resistance and the Anchoring Function of Attachment for families, in which children show impulsive, violent or self-destructive behaviour. This Masterclass with Haim Omer will soon be available On Demand in Canada and the USA, exclusively through STG Health Services Inc.
Professionals such as psychologists, counsellors, and educators can highly benefit from learning original strategies from Nonviolent Resistance to start helping schools and homes be much more regulated.
Yes! We are currently developing NVR in Schools to fit with the education system in Canada and the USA. NVR Schools can be used next to any system used for crisis management such as NVCI. In fact, NVR is much more about managing positive relationships than it is about crisis management.
NVR has been implemented in health care systems and many schools in Europe for quite some time. NVR has also been used to help parents manage difficult childhood behaviour at home. STG Health Services Inc. is now bringing NVR in a structured and research-based manner to Canada and the USA. In addition, elements of NVR have been implemented through the SPACE program at Yale University.
Currently, we are working hard on finishing rolling out the NVR On Demand training. The anticipated start time is January 2022. If you have questions in the meantime, please contact Dr. Chris de Feijter by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
